About me

I was born in 1984 in Vişeu, a nice place in the mountains. Whoever went skiing in Mogoşa or Cavnic, in Săpânţa or with the “mocăniţa” train on the Vaserului Valley got close tot.
I went to the Faculty of Computer Science in Arad, where my family moved in 2002. Ever since college I worked in the car industry, as a quality engineer. Since July 2009, I worked for Michel Thierry in Timişoara, a company manufacturing components for the car industry.
I made most of my friend in Arad on the volleyball court. It started out “as a game”, without too much experience, but with the ambition of being among the best. Then there was the intense training and many competitions within the “Pro Volei” club in Arad. Since the autumn of 2009, I entered the championship of Romania with “Pro Volei”, in the second division. I still watch the matches and discuss the results with my friends at the club.
My friends and I went on holiday in the mountains in January 2010. After a long road we reached the Marmolada Resort, in Italy, where we were going to ski for 5 or 6 days.
But my plans, made about 2 months in advance, were to be thwarted. On the track I got caught on a large portion of ice and fell from a great height, on my feet.
I was taken by helicopter to a hospital, in Trento, as quickly as it was possible. It wasn’t the nearest town, but it was a day when many accidents occurred on the track and it was the only place where there was room for me.
My general state was very bad, but I will talk to you about the problem that still persists. My spine is broken in 2 place, in one of them with full medullar injury. I had no sense or control from the chest down and this causes me great distress.
After two weeks of hospitalization and surgery in which each little bone was put back in its place and the metal implants were applied, I got home. Here I had to start my neuromotor recovery program and I chose the Centre of Dezna. I am happy with my results, as well as the doctors with whom I work.
I researched everything that can be done in my situation and I received information from the X-CELL Center clinic in Dusseldorf on the Stem cell treatment. I sent my RMN and all the medical documents that I’ve got and I was told that I am compatible for Stem Cell treatment.
However, I can only make an appointment for starting this treatment when I’ve gathered the sum needed for covering the costs of the operation and the subsequent treatment, estimated at 24,000 euros. A sum beyond the financial possibilities of my family, but which I hope I can obtain with your aid, as soon as possible.
